Train it: Romanian deadlifts, glute bridges, hip thrusts and hamstring curls build the muscle under the area. Two or three sessions a week, adding weight as you get stronger.
Treat the surface: massage a caffeine cream into the backs of the thighs twice daily. A 2026 double-blind trial applied a 2% caffeine cream to the upper thighs twice a day for 12 weeks and saw cellulite scores drop more than with placebo. In a 24-week study of a handheld vibrating massager on the outer and back of the thighs, cellulite was significantly reduced by 12 weeks and stayed down in the group that kept using it.
